This is with reference to the Supreme Court judgement on Aadhaar dated
Sep 26, 2018, basis which the bank has taken following decisions:
1. Customer on-boarding for non-DBT customers using Aadhaar e-KYC shall
be stopped with immediate effect on both assisted (Micro-ATM/ Counter)
and self-service channels (Mobile Banking App).
2. On-boarding of DBT Customers through Aadhaar based e-KYC shall
continue. Accounts opened as such shall be a fully-operational
supporting all transactions including money transfers, bill payments
etc. using Aadhaar authentication.
The system is being modified to enable an upfront declaration by the
customer that s/he is a DBT beneficiary prior to proceeding with the
account opening process. In view of the same, the account opening
services for DBT customers will be temporarily disabled on Oct 25, 2018
and resume on Oct 26, 2018.
3. Transaction services for existing customers will be available as per the existing process.
